A house built in 1998 is transformed to take on a new spirit and a contemporary language, without losing what defines its relationship with the place.
Rather than working only as a recreational element, the pool articulates the gathering spaces and establishes a continuous transition between architecture and landscape. Its infinity edge visually extends the house towards the bay, making water and horizon a permanent part of the experience.
The villa has five bedrooms, two dining rooms, a kitchen, a terrace and a games room for the children. All these spaces relate to the outdoors and to the views, favouring an open, relaxed way of living and creating a microclimate for the enjoyment of Acapulco.
In this project, remodelling alongside the AoMa team did not mean simply updating an existing building, but discovering its virtues again. The intervention strengthens what the house already had: its orientation, its openness towards the landscape and its capacity to bring people together.
The result is a contemporary villa where the limit between inside and outside becomes almost imperceptible. A house conceived around the water and the bay, in which the landscape stops being a view and becomes part of the architecture.
