The project is born of an exceptional condition: a territory from which 360-degree views towards sunrise and sunset are possible, with the bay and the Sea of Cortés as a permanent setting.
The marina is conceived as an integral complex of roughly 40 hectares. The development includes a Yacht Club with restaurant, event hall, lookout, café and bar, along with maintenance workshops, technical services and areas to shelter the boats. The whole is completed with shops, a boutique hotel and residential villas, building a community able to offer a complete experience of stay, rest and contact with the sea.
The first stage includes the marina's sheet of water, a 20-room boutique hotel and the first residential lots, establishing the initial structure on which the project can grow.
The architecture begins from a fundamental premise: to belong to the place. Rather than imposing an image on the territory, it becomes a natural extension of Maverick, taking up its language and reinterpreting it from the specific conditions of the landscape. The materials, the proportions and the way the land is occupied answer an architecture conceived from the site and for the site.
The project also recognises that the Sea of Cortés is lived differently through the year. For roughly six months, the climate allows the sea, sailing and outdoor activities to be fully enjoyed. The rest of the year offers a different opportunity: a more private, introspective experience, focused on contemplation and on spaces designed to observe, rest and reconnect with the surroundings.
More than a tourist destination, the project builds a way of inhabiting the territory: a marina where architecture, nature and landscape meet to create a place of contemplation, company and rest, with the Sea of Cortés as the protagonist.
